The church in the book of Acts didn’t only come together on Sundays or at the Temple, they also met daily in each other’s homes. At Joshua Generation Church, we value time spent together in our homes, whether in prayer and worship, around the Word, or sharing food and enjoying friendship.
Each congregation has a number of community groups which meet up across their area, usually on a Wednesday evening. These community groups become hubs in our neighbourhoods. They are where we can live out family, and welcome in our neighbours, friends and colleagues. The friendships we develop in them extend far beyond just a Wednesday night. At JoshGen, we want to live out what we see in the book of Acts, where no one amongst them had need, so communities also become a place where needs can be shared and met, in a natural way.
If you are not part of a community, speak to one of your local elders today and see where you can join in.
“The church is Christ’s body, the completion of him who himself completes all things everywhere.” Ephesians 1:23
