Being a mom is a wonderful, rewarding journey. But not without its challenges. Spending the day in tracksuit pants, persisting through temper tantrums and dirty nappies; it's easy to forget that being a mom actually means you are building into somebody who has the ability to influence many others in their generation, even change the world.
The heartbeat of moms is support through friendship and connecting you with other moms in your community. These women who are in the same boat as you – they know what Bepanthen is, and appreciate what a true victory it is to be out the house on time and not to have baby spew on your shoulder.
We have groups that meet all across the city, at different times, on different days and in different locations. But they all have the same heartbeat.
Anyone who is a mom or mom-to-be, a granny or nanny who looks after a little one, is welcome. We run sessions on relevant subjects, do pram-friendly hikes and baby-friendly workouts. We worship, pray and have both specialists and seasoned moms come share their secrets with us. We have swop parties and mending parties, we picnic, we walk on the beach and lots more. There's libraries of books to read, kids DVDs to borrow, coffee to be drunk, friendships to be made and plenty of other helpful stuff! Some groups have a toddler craft each week so the moms can relax a little, while their busy ones have fun too.
The best bit however is that Moms is free AND track suit pants are welcome (baby spew optional). We’d love you to join us!
