Euthanasia case Goes To Supreme Court of Appeal

On 30 April 2015, the Pretoria High Court handed down a controversial judgment, permitting the first physician-assisted suicide and euthanasia in South Africa.   On 2 June 2015 , the State successfully applied for leave to appeal against the judgment. Adolescent Sex Decriminalised

Earlier this year, government proposed certain changes to the Sexual Offences Act. In its original form, the Act makes it a criminal offence for adolescents to engage in consensual sex or sexual acts (including kissing and cuddling). Proposed Removal of Christian Public Holidays
