Being a mom is a wonderful, rewarding journey, but not without its challenges. Spending the day in tracksuit pants and persisting through temper tantrums and dirty nappies, it's easy to forget that being a mom actually means that you are building into somebody who has the ability to influence many others in their generation, even change the world. The heartbeat of moms is support through friendship and to connect you with other moms in your community. Women in the same boat as you; who know what Bepanthen is, and appreciate what a true victory it is to be out the house on time, and not have baby spew on your shoulder. We meet in Sunningdale, Edgemead, Durbanville and soon, Melkbosstrand, almost every Thursday morning. Anyone who is a mom, mom-to-be, granny or a nanny looking after a little one, is welcome. We worship, pray and have seasoned moms come share their secrets with us. Add to this swop parties, mending parties, picnics, walks on the beach and lots more. There's a resource station, coffee and plenty of other helpful stuff! Some groups have a toddler craft each week, so the moms can settle and enjoy the session while their busy ones have fun too. The best bit is that moms is free and tracksuit pants are welcome, baby spew optional.
